WHAT IS A GPS TRACKER

A GPS (Global Positioning Service) tracking device is a small device which uses signals transmitted by satellites orbiting the Earth to track the exact location of a device as well as its movement over a certain period of time. On its own, a GPS device will offer details such as coordinates. But, combined with technology such as maps or navigational systems, it becomes a far more useful device.

GPS technology is found within many devices these days, it’s available in kids watch phone, some cars may have it inbuilt. It’s an incredibly useful system that we are seeing being used more and more everyday.

Whilst we may use the functionality of smartwatch gps tracker or watch to track our runs or to let friends know when we will arrive, a phone or watch might not always be the best product to use.

Now I’m not suggesting that you use a GPS tracker to track the whereabouts of your hubby! But, one of the major benefits of a personal GPS tracker is that you can use it to locate the whereabouts of an elderly family member who might suffer dementia. Or a child GPS tracker who might be heading off on their own to school.

It provides some freedom without feeling like they are being watched, but giving you the reassurance of their whereabouts. Remember, you always want to have a conversation with the person who you might wish to track to remind them this isn’t an invasion of their privacy, but to offer security and safety for their wellbeing.
